A Vampire Survivor like in Space! Is It Enough?! Yes! – Star Survivor –
10Star Survivor is an Indie, Space Horde Survival Action Roguelite, or more like Sci-Fi Horde Slaughter, as you will be blasting the hordes of space virus bugs things to bits!
Gather the exp bits left behind by your swarming foes, and upgrade your ship with all sorts of interesting ship upgrades and fun weapon systems, things like drones, missiles, lasers, projectile cannons; fun stuff like that.
There are asteroids roaming around too, don’t let them smash into you!
But they can smash into your enemies too; doing your work for you, and also drop credits, and maybe even a power-up upgrade when destroyed!
These power-up pickups are good, like the armor repair kits, or the magnetic drop, which draws all exp orbs to you, often granting multiples lvls ups. Fun!
Facing is an important and key mechanism in SS Survivor, as different weapon systems have different firing arcs. The default defense batteries will hit in a 360 degree circle around your ship, but they will not be enough to keep you alive long term!
You must upgrade!
Shaping your build as you play, picking from 1 of 3 upgrades as you gain lvl after lvl, trying to stay ahead and survive the wrath of the building horde.
Maybe you go heavy on guns and turrets, or maybe you hunger for blanketing your foes in a missile barrage?
Though, Lasers are always fun to play with…
Meta Progression is present in the form of different ship upgrades you can improve; focusing your meta build on whatever weapon system tickles your fancy the most.
I’m fond of Broadside cannons and lasers, while also appreciate the warm feeling of using the Incinerator to toast foes that dare to concentrate at the Prow of my mighty vessel. Choices, choices…
Note: This is the early access version of Star Survivor, and thus any encountered bugs or other oddness is not representative of the final product.
Still, Star Survivor is fast and approachable SciFi Arcade fun.
