A way for Let's Players to Bypass Nintendo's New Content ID rule? (READ DESCRIPTION)
Like, comment and subscribe! (It really helps!)
Let me start by saying... I really don't like to call my videos Let's Plays and prefer them to be called playthroughs as a good bit of people know on my channel. Now let's get down to business...
Okay, so this is how it would work.
I put a thumbnail on a 1 minute video, no music or anything, and have an annotation on there. This way an ad would play for me, it would give me (and others that use this idea) the ad revenue to keep going with videos from Nintendo, and then you the viewer click the annotation that then leads to the actual video for the game (which the video is shown as unlisted so it's not on the channel for the viewer to see, but once you click the annotation you CAN see it).
It may cause viewers to wait longer in terms of videos... but lets face it, would you rather have a Let's Player that stops doing Nintendo games for good on Youtube because of this? Or would you rather watch a minute (or less) of ads and not only support the Let's Player (Playthrougher... channel joke) but also support Nintendo since they do not want to find a way right now to support Let's Players doing videos of their games?
I'm pretty sure the choice is obvious here...
... Unless you really never want another Nintendo playthrough (Let's Play...) without Nintendo taking all the money after the person that uploads said video which takes time to first record the video, edit out anything that they think should be edited out, render the video, upload the video, add a title, description, and tags to the video, and then annotations are an optional thing to do as well... which could take about 2+ hours for just one video depending on how long the recording is.
Note: as of making this video my videos have NOT been content ID'd but I am prepared to go this route if a worst case scenario does happen.
