A year in review – my channel, myself, and the games we played
Hey everyone! So it's been another year, and normally I try to talk about the channel/myself/games I've played while playing Grim Dawn. This time I figured I'd make an explicit video covering these things while having some Don't Starve in the background.
For you folks at home – a summary:
I hit 1000 subscribers, which is odd because it's more than a number, it's you fine folks! Thank you everyone. We should celebrate somehow, but I'm not sure how. If you leave me some suggestions below I'll put together a survey, we can all vote on it, and the result is what I'll do. I'm thinking one of the following: a webcam so you can see where I live and see me briefly (but I will NOT stream my face in videos I record), a AMA type of thing, and I'd record more Don't Starve while I answer your questions, a survey where I play games you want me to play, or something else that I haven't thought of.
Bit chute has been tricky to use this year thanks to problems on the platform. It's a shame but it's become my 'backup channel' rather then the main one.
My health has stopped me from uploading as often as I'd have liked. I'm still recovering from the 'strokes' I had a year ago, in so much that the side effects of various medicines and dealing with my new anxiety problems are a bit much. I'm getting better, so hopefully that will translate into more frequent uploads.
For games – we played Underail, Cryptark, Project Warlock, Eador Genesis: New Horizons, Prey, Occult Chronicles, Consuming Shadow, Hollow Knight, and Resident Evil 2. I generally enjoyed all of those games and can probably recommend most – with the exception of Occult Chronicles (the game.. fights against its ruleset, making the game odd, and a tad frustrating), and New Horizons (the AI hyper leveling glitch takes all the fun out of the game in my opinion).
For the future – I plan on playing through Underrail again with a new character, picking the Witcher 3 back up, finishing Unreal and playing Return to Na Pali and Unreal 2, and playing Disco Elysium. I will stop New Horizons until the developers can fix the AI bug because I find it to... well frustrating is the nicest way to phrase it. I may start up a new Dragon Age Origin game as well.
