Is the Prospect Park Zoo better than the Central Park Zoo? I certainly think so, here's why!

Every time I visit the Prospect Park Zoo, it feels like stepping into a little wildlife oasis in the heart of Brooklyn. The Discovery Trail is my favorite, where you can watch red pandas lounging in the trees or spot the dingoes basking in the sun. The Hall of Animals is a hidden gem, filled with unique creatures like Pallas’s cats and tamarins. And I can’t forget about the Sea Lion Court! Watching the sea lions splash around during their feeding times is always a highlight—those guys have so much personality. What I love most is how interactive it is, especially for families. The Barn and Garden is perfect for little ones to meet animals up close, like alpacas and sheep. Plus, the zoo is just the right size—not overwhelming but packed with surprises. It’s such a cozy, fun spot to reconnect with nature right in the middle of the city!
