A12-9800 vs A10-7860K Frame Time Analysis - AMD APUs w/ R7 Graphics - HITMAN (2016) [ICA & PARIS]
A12-9800 vs A10-7860K - AMD APUs w/ R7 Graphics - HITMAN (2016) [ICA & PARIS]
After much delay AMD has finally released its new APU platform. Is it worth investing in A12-9800 for integrated graphics enthusiasts or is Bristol Ridge just a filler product before the Ryzen-based Raven Ridge APUs? How does IO Interactive's latest HITMAN perform on AMD APUs, can you hit playable frame rate with AMD's latest Bristol Ridge APU? To test the A12-9800, we compare it to the older A10-7860K model at 720p low settings, FXAA enabled.
The game is barely playable as both APUs find it hard to score decent frame rates and the overall smoothness leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, DX12 can't come to the rescue - the APUs were able to produce higher averages with the explicit API but we couldn't finish any run without a game crash.
