This calibration pattern is meant to be used to help workaround the broken "tonemap off" implementation of A95K, essentially enabling HGIG. By default A95K tonemap off will either clip everything above 500 nits or show everything twice as bright. By calibrating it to Nvidia Control Panel gamma 0.81, the full range of brightness will be used, TV will not clip the brightness it can't show , and you'll get to see a reference image. This is a necessity for working with graphics in both SDR and HDR when using a TV as your primary or reference monitor.

Gamma in Nvdia Control Panel should be set to 0.81, and on TV gamma should be set to max. Everything else should be at reference values (same as default of the Custom preset). TV must be running in 12 bit HDR mode (use Nvidia Control Panel to set this)

To do this you will need a colorimeter (I use Calibrite ColorChecker Display Plus, it costs around $300) and I recommend using open source software HCFR as it can read out the brightness continuously: https://www.homecinema-fr.com/colorimetre-hcfr/hcfr-colormeter/
