Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes - Longplay 007 - Broken Isles
Abandoned Places - A Time For Heroes was developed by the Hungarian development studio ArtGames and published by Electronic Zoo (at least the Amiga version in Europe) in 1992. Mobygames lists International Computer Entertainment Ltd. as publisher. I guess this applies to the IBM PC version.
It is a grid-based dungeon crawler in the vein of games like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder. Admittedly, it does not reach the same quality standard as both aforementioned games, and thus is always considered as mediocre. However, I had a lot of fun playing through this game.
After the Wise of Kal Kalon translated the scroll we've found in Wyrm Hills, we're on our way to find all nine parts of the Ruling Symbols. These consist of the Sword of Darkness, the Staff of Supremacy and the Orb of Forthcoming. All three symbols were divided into three parts. In this video, we're traveling to the Broken Isles in order to get the first part of the Sword of Darkness, which will be the first symbol we're going to collect.
