Abiotic Factor is a survival crafting experience for 1-6 players set in the depths of an underground research facility. Caught between paranormal containment failure, a military crusade, and chaos from a dozen realms, the world’s greatest minds must survive against the universe’s biggest threats.
The character creation allows you to choose profession and abilities that greatly influence your playstyle, making it highly compatible with multiplayer.
The Crafting elements specific to each profession, such as cooking, crafting, and building, are balanced in a way that they don't become overwhelming. Survival aspects like food, hygiene management, and sleep are also adjusted to a balanced level that doesn't cause excessive stress.
The crossbow is the only projectile weapon I have gotten so far, and it is powerful. However, the reload time is slow, and the enemy called Pekkari (a dog-like creature with four legs) chases you at incredible speed, making it really difficult to shoot from a distance. If they are at a certain height, they can jump directly at you…
I love this Half-Life inspired survival crafting game so far. Highly recommend it, 8.5 out of 10.
