Testing out the performance of AC Unity on one of the very first missions in the Game. I have heard a ton of talk about performance issues. I thought it played smooth to play, but considering my PC has much higher specs than the average person that might buy this game, I would expect a little more fps and smoother transitions. I think they have patched the issues where NPCs would "pop" into existence from nowhere. I have all the settings on "Very High" @ 1080p. My rig averaged 20-32 fps, and the more I play it the more I can tell that it changes based on what kind of scene is going on.On very high setting I would say my complaints are just the jagged shadows and some textures did not load quite fast enough. Every 30 sec or so I could see a hiccup in fps, like a few frames got skipped or frozen. But it is playable and enjoyable. I changed the setting to all maxed out, and I get 18-30 fps. But the scenes where very high would dip, dip much more on ultra, down to about 10-20fps. Still this game looks pretty good overall. I will be getting a GTX 970 in the next week or so, so I'll maybe put another video on all ultra with the new card.
