All software included in this distro is free, open source and targeted to the education area, ranging from primary to university level.
Academix GNU/Linux uses a Mate-based environment that is focused on low memory usage and a beautiful user interface.
If you used any distro with Xfce, then Academix won't seem strange to you, most of these distros have a not-so-attractive interface, but are able to run on โarchaicโ hardware.
This distribution comes with specific applications for Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Statistics, Graphics, audio and video editing, etc.
Standard applications also include Virtual Labs, Robotics Labs and Virtual Microscope.
Academix GNU/Linux gives teachers the ability to organize lists of applications for students to use and publish online with the install module, allowing students to install all software with a single click.
If you like, you can download your converted .deb packages individually from this address . They include Virtual Microscope, Cytoscape, V-REP FOR EDU, PhEt, Kiwix, Virtual Laboratory of Genetics and Molecular Workbench.
