The first of two possibilities for Mission 8, and the one you get no matter what, involves chasing a formation of unknown planes at high altitude over Chopinburg, which you may recognize as the location where Mission 3 of AC7 takes place!
This mission doesn't have many enemies, in addition to your four targets, you have four X-29s to deal with, but don't feel forced to take them all out, your main targets will be speeding to escape the area, and if they do so, the mission will end, so don't waste too much time with the escorts, and naturally, you'll want a rather fast plane for this!
As a side note, the XB-70s take three missiles, but the SR-71s only take two.
