Well hello everyone! A lot of you may have seen me throwing this idea around both on the forums and on Twitter, and here it is! Episode 1 of a who-knows-how-long series on common AC:R myths. We're here to test anything you've got questions about, be it ability related, exploitation, or even something from single player. If you ever have any ideas, comment them here, tweet them to @Squiiddish, or post them in the official Mythbusting thread! The thread will always be kept updated with suggestions and ideas I've collected from all your suggestions.
I just wanted to say, for the sake of science, that every one of these myths were tested repeatedly. We didn't simply have one go and just assumed it was busted or intact. We also tested the majority of these myths in multiple game modes, Assassinate and Manhunt. For the sake of time, the footage shown is just one or a few of many tests performed on each myth.
SPECIAL NOTE: THE LOCK EXPLOIT TEST-
As you have (or will) see, I have decided to blur out the actual method used to pick a player out of a blend group with the lock system. The Myth was presented, and it was confirmed. It can be done. However, this is undoubtedly an EXPLOIT. This is an unintended use of game mechanics, and I will never use it in an actual match.
I have chosen to blur the actual method used because I am sure as hell not posting a video guide on how to exploit the game to pick your target out of a blend group. I WILL be deleting comments on this video explaining what I did or how to do it, and repeated offenses will result in you being blocked from my channel. I am in NO WAY promoting the use of this exploit, I am simply confirming that it does exist.
The exploit is not 100% foolproof. After some practice, I was able to pick my target out of a blend group of 3-6 personas with about 80-90% success. It is definitely possible to screw up, but it works way more consistently than it has any right to.
