I actually did it. A functional two-player coop mode.
Though it's surprisingly stable, it requires some effort to use. It's available on my Mediafire account, along with instructions. Keep in mind only 4 characters can be played as of now, and you have to put a big effort to get this working.

This is the first demonstration of my new ACS project. After a long time preparing this, my friend Isaac came over today and we could finally film a few coop battles. (he didn't play in over a year, and for some reason Yuri REALLY likes doing Shining Fang instead of other Artes, so excuse the random Ensenga fests)

It's been some time since I posted this video, but I figured I might as well talk a little about the actual battle. There are way too many small hacks here and there to list.

In the first half, it's my friend Isaac and I, controlling Yuri and Asbel respectively. We both did pretty bad to be honest :
Isaac didn't play in over a year, and due to my hacks, Yuri spammed Shining Fang whenever an input was not done absolutely perfectly.
As for myself, I had very awkward controls since I was player 2, which in Coop Mode is a lot harder to use.
We also got our asses kicked pretty hard, so we spammed healing moves. Guardian Field for Yuri (hacked it to heal more) and Meizanpuu for Asbel (hacked it to heal).

In a surge of creativity, I decided to give Alexei the ability to use items. That backfired though, because he used waaay too many of them, giving us free hits.
I also gave Alexei a ton of Penetrate frames (stun resistance). Basically I wanted to make him like in Vesperia when he's in Ovl Lvl 4, but that would mean infinite Penetrate. So instead I just made him recharge them very fast over time.

The second half of the battle is me pissed off at Alexei for spamming items. I changed his AI and fought him again. But since this was several hours after Isaac left, I decided to play as both Asbel and Yuri. It's not as hard as it sounds, even though I was tired by then.


At the end of the day, it was an epic experience. The situation, with us trying to learn the new controls as fast as possible, only made it more hilarious. It was just chaos the entire time, shouting attack strategies or orders to block.
