Act I: The Journeys Begin - (Throné) Chapter 1: The Motivated Thief [OCTOPATH TRAVELER II]
Throné is sent with Pirro, Scaracci, and Donnie venture into New Delsta's sewers on an assignment to steal "the mark" from the Diamante estate. But the plan falls apart when the group are ambushed by guards...
After defeating the guards, they speculate that someone in the Blacksnakes must have sold them out and sabotaged the job.
Once back on the surface in the city of New Delsta, Throné and her cohorts scatter to make their way to the Blacksnakes' Game Parlor undetected. Throné arrives last and delivers "the mark" to Father, who also deduced a traitor within the Blacksnakes.
Later that evening, Mother gathers the Blacksnakes for a meeting to discuss the earlier job. Mother expresses her disappointment with Throné's team...
The next day, Throné retreats to a rooftop terrace outside the Game Parlor, where she meets the collarless puppy and offers it some food. She expresses envy for the dog, because despite the hard life it leads as a stray, it's free to go where it pleases, bound to no one.
Throné is told by Father that Scaracci conspired with Lord Diamante against them. Instructed by Father to meet him in Winterbloom once she completes her task, Throné disguises herself as brothel worker to infiltrate the Diamante estate and assassinate both, however...
Furious over Father's deception, Throné resolves to kill both him and Mother so she can use their keys to remove her collar and obtain her freedom.
