My old world record on GoldenEye's Train level on 007 mode (Dark Licence to Kill settings) using the Enemy Health 1000%, Enemy Damage 1000%, Enemy Accuracy 100%, Enemy Reaction Speed 100% settings.

This run was done on a PAL console using control style 1.2 and auto aim off. I was trying more for a completion than a quick time on this run so I was playing a lot more cautiously than I normally would and I wasn't too bothered about what time I got. I'm going to try speedrunning it next so hopefully I can improve this a lot.

OK run. Parts of the first three carriages were really slow but the second half of the level was better. I had lots of ammo left at the end and the nerves weren't anywhere near as bad as they were on my first completion back in 2010.

I used to add annotations to my DLTK videos on YouTube but they don't let you do that any more so I've added some notes about the run and strategy below or you can view a more detailed version here - http://thengamer.com/Bozon/Adam%20Bozon%20-%20Train%20DLTK%2017.44%20Comments.txt

Normal/Body Armoured Guards - Normal guards can be blown up with crates and will be stunned when you shoot them. Body armoured guards are harder to kill and can't be blown up or stunned until their body armour is gone so you need to hit them several times to take off their body armour before it's possible to blow them up or stun them. When you hear a guard go "Ugh!" then that means that his body armour is gone.

Fire Damage - It's safe for me to take fire damage on LTK/DLTK because the one hit kills settings used on LTK/DLTK only apply to guard hits and not to explosions or drone gun hits.

1st Carriage - These guards all have body armour so I need to weaken the guard on the left before I can blow him up. The final shot of a crate explosion has to be close to the guard otherwise he'll survive the explosion.

2nd Carriage - This is the hardest carriage on the level. The middle and far right guards in the first half of this carriage have body armour and the middle guard in particular is one of the hardest guards on the level so I have to be really careful when I'm killing him. The guards can sometimes get blown up by other guards in a crate explosion and this is what happens to some of the guards in this carriage. In the second half of the carriage, I wait in front of the silver crate for a while to lure the guards into shooting at me and two of the guards were blown up then. The last guard that I kill here has body armour so I have to be really careful when I'm killing him. The guards hold their guns in their right hands so I can take advantage of this and carefully look around the edge of a crate and shoot them without them being able to see me.

3rd Carriage - I run to the far end to lure the guards from the fourth carriage. You can open locked doors through a wall if you try and open them from the other side so this is what I am doing when I go into the toilet cubicle at the end of the room.

4th Carriage - The guards can't shoot you through windows but I can shoot them so the room in the middle of the carriage gives me some protection here.

5th Carriage - This is the second hardest carriage on the level. I run into the middle of the carriage and quickly back out again to lure three guards out and then I go back to the fourth carriage again because it's safer to kill them from there. The luring part is risky and I get killed on about 1 in 3 runs there. When I watched it back frame-by-frame, it looked like I only survived there because the left guard shot first and his bullets went behind me and the right guard shot a fraction of a second after I passed him on the way out and his bullets went in front of me.

6th Carriage - Two heavily body armoured guards will run to the position I was standing in when I destroyed the last brake so I leave the brake in the fourth carriage until last so that I can easily kill the guards through the window there.

Ending - It's safe to start lasering the locks from outside the room as Trev won't say any more comments until you actually enter the final room. Natalya won't follow you outside the train until Ouromov is dead so it's safe for me to start killing the guards outside before I shoot Ouromov to give me more time to finish killing the guards after that. Trev and Xenia can't shoot over the table on the right side of the room so it's safe to stand there when I kill Ouromov. To stop Natalya following me outside the train, I need to start running towards the front of the train before or during the "Good luck with the floor, James" message". Now I can wait near the front of the train for Natalya to complete her objectives and then exit the level when she's finished.

I have set up the following page for anyone who might be interested in trying LTK or DLTK:

On there you will find out how to be added to the rankings, which are the easiest and hardest levels, tutorials, useful links and tips.
