ADD YOUR EXISTING POKEMON TO X AND Y (Escapist News Now)

Starting December 27th you'll be able to get reunited with your favorite pokemon in X and Y via the Pokemon Bank. It launches in the eShop later this month and will allow players to manage up to 3000 Pokemon via the cloud.

The Bank will come with Poke Transporter which allows you to bring your old Pokemon from White, Black, White 2, and Black 2 into X and Y. Bringing certain Pokemon into X or Y will trigger new events in the Kalos region, but neither Pokemon or Nintendo detailed what these would be, saying you would need to try it out for yourself.

Depositing your favorite creatures into the bank will earn you Poke Miles for the length of time they are deposited. So the more you store, the more miles you earn. These miles can be exchanged for in-game items in X and Y and on the Pokemon Global Link website. You can also get Battle Points instead of Poke Miles, which can also be exchanged for in-game items.

Using the Pokemon Bank is not free however, but it's only a $4.99 yearly charge to get cloud access to all of the Pokemon in your collection. They are offering a no-charge trial period that runs until January 31st, 2014.
