ADOM is one of the oldest roguelikes ever to have been released, with its first version in typical-for-its-time ASCII art style released waaay back in 1994. The most remarkable bit is that main developer Thomas Biskup has continued to work on it up till today (including a hiatus from 2003-2012), and we now have this deluxe version with actual graphics.

It's a very complicated game to learn, because there are so many aspects of the character to pay attention to. You'll more than likely need to pore over manuals for ages to learn all of them. Once you master it, though, I'm pretty sure this game will prove to be a satisfying prospect, even in 2018 and beyond (this version has a lot of niceties after all, stuff that never existed 24 years ago!).
