With an understanding of Low and High Altitude airways, IFR charts and symbols, as well as aerodromes, this lesson continues on by building on those. Today we cover Standard Instrument Departure charts, or SID charts as they are known. These charts provide information of routing from an airport to the start or intersection of an airway, with VOR frequencies, altitude restrictions, headings and radials to follow, as well as airways that can be joined.
