In the years following the defeat of Smaug, northern Middle Earth has begun to enjoy a new peaceful era in which the fear of dragon fire no longer exists. The dwarves of Erabor and men of Dale have begun to rebuild their homes anew under the Dain, the new King Under the Mountain, and Bard, Slayer of the great Dragon Smaug. Though, in this seemingly peaceful and prosperous time, there is always the Shadow waiting to take hold.
