The Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson was a helicopter-type aircraft dreamt up and designed for use in the film Avatar. While no real-life version actually exists, simmers were so keen to fly this bird that Nemeth Designs developed a flight sim version compatible with both P3D and FSX.
The Nemeth model is based on the SA-2 Samson in the film as closely and accurately as possible. Of course, flight characteristics are also imagined as no real-world versions exist to base this on.
The SA-2 is a VTOL aircraft with a ducted rotor and it's a blast to fly in the simulator. It boasts a fully working glass 3D virtual cockpit (VC) along with many animations such as machine guns, cabin crew, and transport options.
The model and add-on also come with a fully detailed manual along with a paintkit should you wish to develop your own repaints.
The file is released as payware which means you need to purchase it in order to use it.
This video was created in Prepar3D v5.
Compatible with all versions of FSX including the Steam Edition and compatible with all versions of Prepar3D including v4 and v5. Tested (and confirmed) in v4.5 and v5.
