The latest historic military aircraft creation from the development team at Virtavia is their rendition of the legendary Lockheed EC-121K "Warning Star" or more affectionally named the "Willy Victor" compatible with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v4 and v5.
The Lockheed EC-121 had its maiden flight on the 9th of June 1949 and continued active service up until 1982 with the USN. Only 232 were built and it's quite a rare bird that you may have never even seen before. It was originally designed to be a radar surveillance aircraft but had many uses over the years.
This payware add-on features next-gen features including full 8K textures for the exterior of the aircraft, 4K VC (virtual cockpit) textures, and over 320 custom 3D animations all around the aircraft model. Even the VC is ready for VR.
The model is fully PBR (Physically based rendering) which means all of the textures/bumps are taken into account when rendering the light, shadows, and effects in the sim.
Also included are a 37-page manual/flight manual, a paint kit (Photoshop format), and a fully complete Skysong Soundworks sound pack to complement the aircraft.
A lot of time and work has gone into developing this aircraft by the team at Virtavia. It is quite simply a masterpiece.
The file is released as payware which means you need to purchase it in order to use it.
