AetherSX2 - NFS Most Wanted on SD 860 (Poco X3 Pro) Test + Settings
0:00 Settings
0:42 Gameplay w/o skip draw (left and right shadows from the car can be fixed by disabling upscaling hacks)
02:22 Setting Skip Draw (In newer versions numbers are vice-versa comparing to the one in the video, and the setting is located in Advanced tab)
02:45 Gameplay with Skip Draw 4/7 (This setting provides sharper and brighter image. But when the sun is far from the camera, image becomes a bit dim and grey (filter disappears), and CGI cutscenes have artifacts)
Another Skip Draw options provide same or worse results.
Performance can be 5-10% better without recording. Frame drops in the end are caused by the throttling, which should barely or not at all occur without recording.
1x resolution isn't shown there, because frameskipping works badly until 50% Cycle rate or 1 cycle skip, and without frameskip speed isn't constant. 1x resolution works better with Vulkan, while 2x with OpenGL.
UPD: There is a code for setting particular framerate with fullspeed. But it can be problematic to access required file on stock firmware, especially without root. Though it can provide mostly stable 50 fps
on 1x resolution, but with small speed drops while driving between cars. The code is:
FramerateNTSC = 50.00
(no need for PAL version because it's 50 FPS already)
for 1x resolution. Should be inserted in Android/data/xyz.aethersx2.android/files/gamesettings/270FC... or another file with NFS MW settings (file name can be checked in AetherSX2 game properties (CRC))
