In this scenario, since I still have a lot of problems with fast decisions and micro-management, I tried to rely on my strongest asset: patience. However, the hit and run tactics proved useless. That is why I decided to restart the scenario and rush to the bottom of the map just to destroy that small outpost and take over the land behind the river (build up a wall and try defending a bottleneck passage until I eventually gather resources and build an army).

This is where I learned an important lesson for RTS games. Sometimes, especially on the highest difficulty, it is better to focus on the objectives rather than trying to destroy everyone on the map. That is why I reloaded the game and just transported the cart to the enemy base with by ship and then just rush towards the hill. A lame strategy but hey, that was the objective, right?
