Ai Art: The Real Argument
0Artificial Intelligence is here - it's not here to TAKE your job - but you do need to be aware of what the risks are! This isn't a comprehensive ethics take, it's just a showcase of what you can do with several of the tools available.
Art should be available freely, as it was always meant to be. Don't force someone who isn't able to anymore to just pick up a pencil and "DRAW" because you think that even DIGITAL art is theft. Corporations want you to fight for their copyrights... they want you to gate keep who does and does not have access.
Who stole your commissions? Likely a talented teenager on fiverr, twitter or Etsy undercutting you because the market's so glutted as it always has been. Art isn't a "MARKETPLACE" for greed. It's for creatives.
Be careful how you process your "COMMERCIAL USE" via NFT or general print making for commercial and merchandising uses. Not all AI art can be used under "FAIR USE" or "CREATIVE COMMONS" even with the terms and conditions of the specific website.
