I wanted to make a short video but then I added a few more chapters related to the topic and now it's nearly 20 minute long. Nonetheless, I've divided the video into chapters with time stamps given below so those virtual pilots who quickly want to see a custom waypoint being entered into an Airbus MCDU can do so. The rest of the video is about using the waypoints to manually build the IGS13 approach into Kai Tak. In the MSFS version of the A310 this approach is not recognized. That is where these user defined waypoint come in handy.

Time Stamps
00:00 Briefly: How to enter a Custom Waypoint
03:06 PBDs are stored PERMANENTLY in the MCDU
05:39 Using Custom Waypoints in an actual flight
18:20 FlyByWire A320 supports adding stored waypoints to the flight plan
21:20 THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!
