TLDR
Airi is a Water Warrior. Role is Burst DPS, Tank, and Team Buffer/Enemy Debuffer

Active Skill: - Burst Damage Skill, comparable to Megumin, Kana, and Cayron's Active skill in terms of damage (long cooldown)

When maxed:

Passive 1: Airi has 30% attack boost, 50% crit damage boost, and increased attack speed, but takes more damage from leaf enemies in all places outside of Raid and Adventure Mode, so pretty much just Guild Territory bosses that are leaf would pose any threat to Airi. When used in Dark Lord's Tower, Airi gains 100% boss damage and decreases enemy's attack by 15%

Passive 2: Increases Accuracy by 200%, decreases enemies attack by 15% (stacks with other skills), reduced her evasion by 50%

Passive 3: Takes effect after active skill is used. For 10 seconds, Airi does bonus crit damage to the boss while reducing the damage the ENTIRE team takes while reducing the enemy's DEF by 30% for 30 seconds.

Passive 4: Airi gains extra 50% damage towards light enemies. The damage taken by light enemies is reduced by 25% for the ENTIRE team. Cain and Airi gain 100% boss damage when both in party.

Ideal weapon: Elim (water heroes get +90% attack) drops from stage 900+ or summon
Alternatives: Dragonblade, Ascalon, CDR weapons
Make sure weapon+ring nets you ~60% CDR

Armor sets:
If boss has physical immunity: 3 dragon/2 witch (for penetration)
If boss has has no physical immunity: 3 white dragon/ 2 witch
Alternatives: Any complete set like Witch, Guardian, Temple Knight, Light, Any remaining set if you can't split them up

If you're a whale, dolphin, or have been saving up rubies for a long time, get her T5-T10. Otherwise getting her to T2-T4 is fine if rubies is scarce for you.
