Welcome to Akalabeth: World of Doom. This game is often referred to as Ultima 0 because it was the first to use many of the concepts and game mechanics that are found in the early Ultima games. It was developed as a school project by a D&D fan and later sold as commercial game for the Apple II. It originally sold over 30,000 copies and was updated and released for MS-DOS in 1998. You can still play this game on modern PCs and it's available for free from GOG.
