In this episode of Yakuza 4 Remastered, we meet Shun Akiyama, the infamous loan shark. He's paying a visit to Kanemura Enterprises. In short, there are a couple of yakuza from the Ueno Seiwa Clan hanging out at Club Elnard, a Kanemura-run cabaret club. On the surface, these are all groups of yakuza under the Tojo Clan, which runs Kamurocho, but there's still respect and politics to consider when it comes to simply swaggering into another family's business like they own the place. Kido explains this to his underlings while Akiyama listens. He says it's probably best for Kanemura Captain Arai to step in. As Akiyama leaves, he meets up with a group of homeless folks. While hanging out with them, he also spies on Arai himself, a sharp and clean-cut looking yakuza, who has just finished touring Kamurocho Hills, a major Tojo construction project. With him is Patriarch Shibata of the Shibata Family, another yakuza family who holds sway over Kanemura Enterprises. Arai gets a call to head to Club Elnard, and Akiyama thinks he'll tag along. In Club Elnard, we find the Ueno guys. Akiyama steps in, specifically to prevent anyone from Kanemura from getting directly involved, and we have our first boss fight with Ihara! After the fight, Arai shows up, aware of what Akiyama is doing, or rather, what he's trying to avoid. Akiyama lets Arai know that he's got high hopes for him, going so far as to reveal that the terms of Akiyama's loan to Kanemura was for him to step down so Arai could take over, offering him a stepping stone to bigger and better things. This is all interrupted by Ihara, now on his feet with a gun. Arai tries to defuse the situation, but takes a glancing shot. Ihara and his pal leave and Kido goes after them. Once we're back on the street, we get a call from Hana, who mentions some scary guys are outside the office. Turns out she heard one of them say 'Ueno', meaning there's trouble going down. With the music going nuts, we head back to Sky Finance to see what's up!
