Well it had only taken me some years to finally find out where some of these sheefish are and what they bite on. I don't ever really get very much information while I have asked around to locals. I have caught the few fish this year in a slough/creek on a 1/8oz. jig head with a "Mountain Dew" colored grub. Other than that the water was moving but not fast where I ended up hooking into these.
These are an amazing fish and they put up a nice fight. So far nicely hooked too and easy to unhook which I really like because I like to return what I catch. I would rather catch it and release it unharmed as possible to possibly catch it again at a later date or so they can breed and make more fish to catch. I don't have a huge amount of time before this winter and only a little bit more time before I will be moving from this amazing state.
