Can't really properly showcase Vic here due to Skilled Commands making him look a lot better than he would be for newbies, but... lol... the shenanigans here with his Equipment Skill and enemy elements for targeting are pretty amusing

In order for this to work, the boss underneath CANNOT take damage from normal attacks or deto chains -- otherwise the targeting priority of Vic's summons will change. Fleur's skill CANNOT be used here either due to targeting issues, so you practically may as well straight up replace him for this too. Basically the main boss needs to have lower HP than her minion from elemental resistance for one of the summons to change target. Statuses need to remain the same for the most part unless you can inflict one on specifically Claudia ONLY so the HP on Claudia remains lower from Vic's summons

After the right targeting is acquired, just keep running around on tiles with Vic and keep using his skill

How many tries did this take? Several... mostly to figure out the quirks to get this to work, since the slightest additional damage can screw it up pretty badly

Would I recommend Vic? Hmm... he's in an interesting spot for sure with several different possible shenanigans that he can pull off, so he's definitely worth pulling even if he does not become meta. But for a new players that are only trying to fill in roles for certain archetypes to progress early stages and need other units, you can probably hold off on him due to how many decently good Snipers there are with Water that he is competing against and how they give you many of them from regular progression
