During my college days, I listened to a lot of Cantopop (Cantonese Pop Songs) particularly Alex Fong 方力申 a lot. A part of my piano style was also developed from listening to his songs, especially for the pop covers.
I was not a music student, so in order to gain access to music rooms like these, I had to "bribe" people by offering value to them, ie fix their computers, treat them a meal, become friends etc. I recorded a lot of songs back then to help me remember how to play them.
