This is a full playthrough of this ROM hack recorded from a PAL SEGA Mega Drive model 1 console using a Mega EverDrive X7 with Master System bios start up.

It's called the ''Counterfeit Edition'' for the very reason that it's not the original ROM hack by (Alex) Alianger. Someone from South America or Spain took Alianger's ROM hack from 2015, opened up KiddED and messed around with it and then re-released it to the public and to add insult to injury, a pirated reproduction cart was also released of the (Counterfeit Edition). I'm all for reproduction carts of ROM hacks despite most in the community being dead-set against them as I am a physical video game person who prefers real hardware and I am willing to pay for a ROM hack if the price is right just to be able to play it on a real console as EverDrives are not always the best viable and cheapest option available. But I do not support someone messing around with someone else's ROM hack and then making a reproduction cart of the messed up one (Counterfeit ROM hack).

I had to search very hard to find this ''Counterfeit Edition'' online and although I did a public playthrough on it, I will not be providing any download links to this one as a sign of respect to the original ROM hack author Alianger.

This version of ''Radaxian Rumble'' has many notable differences to Alianger's original 1.04b for starters,
1. Many of the annoying puzzles and harsh dick moves of the original have been removed in favour of easier routes and pathways.

2. This version has different music from the original Radaxian Rumble hack found on SMSPower.

3. You start this version of the game with a whopping 25 lives instead of 7 from the original ROM hack. You can continue as much as you want if you have enough money but in a continued game you only have 3 lives and (No I didn't hack into it myself to increase the life count, 25 is what it gives you).

4. This version is easier and less dickish to get through.

5. This version has just as many bugs, crashes and places where you can stuck like the original, exploring too much will get you stuck having to reset, but one of the big crashes in the ''Nibana Castle'' found in the original has been removed, now the stage just turns different colour.

6. This version also has different art, level layouts and different colours. The overscan border colours have not been fixed.

7. This ROM hack was not ticked for PAL optimisation in music and is made up of half PAL optimised tracks and half non-PAL optimised tracks. This means some tracks that were originally PAL optimised in their original games play slower in this hack like for example Sonic 2's tracks.

NOTES:

1. Before I started developing my own ROM hack in July 2021, ''Alex Kidd In Miracle World - Extended Edition'' I used Alianger's original Radaxian Rumble v1.04 and this ''Counterfeit Edition'' as templates and training grounds to teach myself my way around the KiddED editor by Calindro. That's why if you notice carefully some of the level layouts are identical to mine, it's because I copied and pasted a few of them from here and carefully blended them in with my own level layouts. Because I pinched some of the level layouts from these hacks, an Alianger credit is in my hack.

2. Despite hating the way this ROM hack was butchered by an anonymous person, I do very much prefer the level layouts and the lowered difficulty of this version over the original, harder version from Alianger in 2015.

3. In Alianger's original, the game crashes in the ''Nibana Castle'' stage at the spot where you have to step on many puzzle blocks to create a pathway across a row of spikes. In this (Counterfeit version) many of the puzzle blocks were changed and or removed, those that remained only manage to glitch the colours to black as seen in the video.

If you're wanting to have a go of this ''Counterfeit Edition'' you'll have to search for it yourself because i'm not releasing it here, I only wanted to upload a playthrough of it. I will however provide links to the original Radaxian Rumble.
