This is the soundtrack to my very own ''Alex Kidd In Miracle World'' ROM hack. It's a mixture of two different styles of music mixed in the game. There's the Japanese beatboxing stuff and the more Western C64 arpeggio sawtooth wave stuff.

I recorded the soundtrack from Regen emulator as it does a pretty decent job emulating the audio.

NOTES:

1. Although I recorded it from Regen, two tracks had to be recorded from real hardware, my PAL Sega Mega Drive model 1 console using the Mega EverDrive X7 ''Janken's Castle'' and ''Janken Beatbox'' these two tracks sounded a bit off in Regen.

2. I'm aware Regen has a slightly, deeper pitch-bend than what is heard on genuine real PAL hardware. Regen is also the only emulator that has the noise channel at full volume. Kega and GensPlus soften it and make it sound mushy and almost non-existent and it's not as tightly filtered as playing back Master System audio on a Mega Drive.

3. The bonus tracks from Sonic 2 8-bit are named after redhotsonic because in one of his review videos, he stated his dislike for Sonic 2's loud and overused percussion. He prefers it to be more minimalistic as heard here.

4. Speaking of those Sonic 2 tracks, only when playing Sonic 2 on a PAL Master System does it sometimes trigger different beats for certain tracks. Playing it NTSC 60Hz it always plays the thrashy beats. Probably why the majority of you never knew this.

5. I'm quite fond of Yoko Wada's music on the Master System, she contributed a lot of music to many Master System and Game Gear games and has gotten very little recognition for them. She often used the fake name of (Nasubi) so if you see the name (Nasubi) in the credits screen of a Master System game, you know it was her.

6. All tracks have been recorded at roughly the same volume. When they play in-game they all tend to play either too loud or too quiet as they've all been ripped from different games.
