Антиох отступил и предложил мир. Поражение заставило Антиоха прекратить наступление на Египет и заняться подавлением сепаратизма в своем государстве. Но это был последний крупный успех Птолемеев. В дальнейшем их государство ослабевало от восстаний и экономического упадка, отступая под ударами Селевкидов.
