Alfred Tries To Play: Hebereke's Popoon (SNES)
0Have you ever played a game that tries to be like Puyo Puyo but is nowhere near as fun? They can't be as disappointing as this rubbish effort, probably the worst Puyo Puyo clone I've ever played.
It combines Puyo Puyo with Columns (you must create 3 of the same colour in a row diagonally, vertically or horizontally) in a far more awkward way than Columns III: Revenge of Columns. Here, chains depend on how many colours you clear at once, which gives you different attacks. Also, the garbage the enemy drops on you can be cleared with just 1 coloured blob.
The whole thing just doesn't really work and it's hard to adapt to. It takes Puyo Puyo and makes it far too complicated to be enjoyable. The in-game music is pretty awesome, but I'd just rather play Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. Frankly, Hebereke's Popoon is a load of poopoon.
