One of only 2 bowling games on SNES that I'm aware of, this bowling game tries to take advantage of that fact by trying to do it all. You can create a custom player, play a variety of tournaments against a bunch of (apparently real) bowling pros and even choose the oil patterns on the lane that affect the ball's performance. There's even some nice touches like reaction shots after bowling the ball and the fact you can see other people bowling during the game.

But this is a Tiertex game, and it's fair to say all that choice doesn't make up for one appallingly stupid gameplay decision- you can't choose the direction of the spin you put on the ball (as in Championship Bowling on Sega Mega Drive), it must be charged up in a meter like your power. This means that the ball ends up behaving unpredictably and usually affects your performance.

Tis a shame really, because otherwise this would be a pretty decent bowling game and maybe it is if you can get past that flaw, but this is not the best bowling game out there.
