The Olympics are here, and to celebrate how about a video game offering a vastly different set of Olympic sports- and with an aquatic theme too?

Enter The Aquatic Games, a spin-off from the James Pond platforming series (the parody should be obvious from the title). There are 8 different events to compete in, ranging from fairly standard track and field affairs to odder ones that I'm less sure are proper sports such as Feeding Time, where you have to feed candy to fish (only 1 example of the game's slightly questionable moral ethics- in Kipper Watching, someone keeps throwing beach balls at seals to try and scare them away and Shell Shooting is all about squashing and kicking little creatures).

This is the kind of game that you'll play once and find that it's quirkiness makes it somewhat enjoyable. Then when you come back a second time, you realise it plays like crap- most of the events have incomprehensible control schemes and the rest are rather shallow and repetitive. So, if you want to experience an underseas Olympics, play this once, but then it's best forgotten about afterwards.
