Alice Senki is a 2D Doujin Cross-Over Fighter produced by Yume no Tsuzuki (夢の続き) which compiles signature characters from "AliceSoft" (a prolific, mostly eroge producer who has been around since the late 80s and is most famous for "Rance") titles. Released in 2003, it features twelve playable characters ranging from "Rance", "Toushin Toshi 2", "Mamatoto: A Record of War", "Atlach-Nacha", "DiaboLiQuE" and "Odou Yuusha", and it is followed by a sequel in 2008.

While the game has a variety of mechanics like parrying, clashing, cancels, counters, etc., it is a fairly simple fighter overall with easy to learn special attacks, upgraded attacks (think ex-attacks) and super moves. The game has okay graphics and neat music... the backgrounds are unimpressive, but some of the characters have a surprising amount of animation frames. The game has a variety of modes, Easter eggs, an art gallery, and more, and characters have their own stories and endings. In this regard, the game is fairly ambitious for a Doujin title and will greatly appeal to AliceSoft fans due to its wealth of content and novel touches like "intentional character imbalance" (characters like "Somewhat Awakened Miki Kurusu / Little Princess" can wipe the strongest characters out in only a few hits).

This is a video of the game in action, using Aria from "DiaboLiQuE". Enjoy.
