Stop-Motion Transformation of item. Fanstoys: “We use floppy linkages”. AAT: “Hold our energon”. Good lord this thing is a mess. I have tried my best to show the steps, but you don’t so much put parts into place as you massage and cajole them into place. The tiny little mushroom joint holding the top canopy on is a bit of a disaster and I think it was a late change in the design because it makes the left foot not quite tuck in properly. I found no way to really stitch it together. The hips have a fore-to-back transit, but you keep it in position “A” for robot mode and ... position “A” for truck mode. So why the hell does it have a slider? There are mid-thigh slides you have to move for truck mode, but they aren’t mentioned in the instructions. Be sure to pull the sides (with the grill) out before you collapse the chest(/arms) in - those slides purposefully obstruct the chest slide. Be sure to tuck the hood all the way up to the windshield on both sides or none of the rest of the front will fit together. I got it because it was on sale for $55 and learned that even that price was too high. I don’t expect I’ll ever touch the thing again. Also, this thing transforms a LOT like Transformers Prime First Edition Optimus Prime.

Production Note: Very difficult to keep things still and show all the steps. The good news is even a very very clean video wouldn’t really help anyway since there are so many fiddly alignment sub-steps and the truck never really stitches together anyway.
