A 2014 survival horror game called Alien: Isolation was created by Creative Assembly and released by Sega for Windows, the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox 360, and the Xbox One. The game, which is based on the Alien movie franchise, follows engineer Amanda Ripley, the daughter of Alien star Ellen Ripley, as she looks into her mother's abduction onboard the space station Sevastopol. The game is set 15 years after the events of the original 1979 film Alien. Once inside, Amanda finds that the station has become chaotic as a result of an alien species that has escaped, and she needs to find a way out. The focus of the game is on stealth and survival horror gameplay, requiring the user to avoid, outwit, and combat foes using weapons such a flamethrower and motion tracker.
