Alien Resurrection Graphic Novel Cut trailer
1This is a fanedit of Alien Resurrection. Originally I was going to call it The AC Crispin Cut then it came to me since I am using images from the storyboards, the comic & production images I decided to call this Alien Resurrection The Graphic Novel Cut. This fanedit had a lot more put in it than what I did with Alien 3 that was easy to do.
What my goal was with this was to make it closer to The Novelization of Alien Resurrection by AC Crispin. Using storyboards & images & text I try to add in some things from the novelization. As well I wanted to add in clips from the previous movies as the novelization had Ripley8 having call backs to her past self. I used storyboards to do the nightmare Ripley8 involving a girl being killed by a horde of bugs. I also used the theatrical cuts opening credits as the extended cut's opening credits are terrible. I also cut down on The Whedonism's as well. So gone is the scene where Gediman says fork & Ripley says fuck.
Another thing I did was in the novelization & possibly in the script I can't remember that The Aliens were going to have emotional thoughts that I did not include as it takes away from The Alien. Aliens just want to kill you or cocoon you. They are monsters nothing more.
Johner is a fairly bad character so I have cut some of his bad dialogue. As well I try to make him less of a prick. Also totally edited out Ripley saying "Who do I have to fuck to get off this boat." Sorry it's bad Whedon dialogue. Cut out Ripley tearing out the inner jaw of an Alien & presenting it as a gift to Call. I also tried to make Ripley less weird. Basically I want Ripley to reclaim herself & her soul. I also try to add in the depth they gave The Call Character.
I tried my best but had to make an AI image for the backstory for Vriess & why he got paralyzed. I did use Storyboards to make Ripley's escape from The Alien Hive more action packed. I eliminated The Newborn Alien thinking Ripley is it's Mother. I also used footage from The Alien Resurrection game for how they defeat The Newborn instead of the awful effects that were in the film.
Anyway this is trying to make a movie that I find to be okay & trying to add in what could've been a movie with a bit more depth with a couple of the characters. Removing things that I found to be crappy. Sorry if there's parts where it says the controller is disconnected as I was recording this from a Playstation 4. Also I will do revisions of this fanedit if there's enough comments of people saying that certain things need to be cut.
But hopefully I did something to elevate a movie that has mixed opinions. I think if possible this movie had it went this route might have been better. You'll never know so with that in mind enjoy Alien Resurrection The Graphic Novel Cut.
