Alien Trilogy was a game loosely based on the Alien franchise of movies. It had Acclaim's name on it, so it must have sucked. Well, not exactly...

Episode Notes:

1. You are seeing a combination of US and Japanese versions in this video. I own both on the Saturn and Playstation.

2. All footage captured on real hardware.

3. There is a weapons cheat that makes this game so much more enjoyable if you are having trouble. It changed my daughters entire outlook on it. It's a great equalizer for its archaic designs.

4. Acclaim really should have licensed this engine out to other developers. There are a number of FPS's on the Saturn that could have benefitted from it.

5. There is a password system in place to help you continue your adventure. You're gonna need it, because a death sends you right back to the title screen every time.

6. Funny story to this one. At the time my friend and I had zero PC experience. So when it popped up that I didn't have enough back up memory to save a game, it offered to FORMAT for me. I thought it meant erase something I didn't want and chose yes. As you know this erased all my system storage, including some progress in various RPG's. My buddy fell for it as well, leaving us both pissed off at the game for months.

7. I feel the same about the PS1 version, so this review can be used for that version as well.
