So i recently got a Toshiba T3100e which after some repair, is a working 286 (with 287 FPU) laptop. Most known for its amber gas plasma screen. I always said I would get the Aliens movie sentry gun software coded and running on a laptop with a plasma display as it'd look so much like the movie. Well, two days later and a whole lot of QBASIC research and it runs! Features include all four guns (A,B,C & D). Gun overheat and cooldown. randomly advancing xenomorphs, Critical alarms, out of ammo alarm and signal lost if the xeno's get to the gun. This was a fun little project and as a bonus, I can now defend any small corridor that requires less than 500 bullets! As the 286 has no sound card, its limited to bleeps but on the real machine it sounds ok (like distant gunfire)

First part of the video is a screen grab from dosbox. The second half is it running on the actual laptop. sound is a bit crap as its from the webcam itself.
