the m17x has been repaired (many times), and the m15x is nearly complete. so what else is there to do?

in 2009, right before alienware started using the dell 'all powerful' designs, they had 3 laptops for sale; the m15x-r1 came first. then the m17x-r1. and finally, the m17-r1.
the m17-r1 was the last laptop alienware ever released under the Alienware Corp name. it was meant to bridge the gap in power between the m15x and m17x. the m15x had a dual core processor and a single high end video card. the m17x had a dual core processor and dual high end video cards. the m17 was meant as a bridge because it could come with a dual core processor and two mid-range video cards.
the biggest difference between the m17 and the m17x was the fact that the m17 can hold a quad core processor. this in some ways makes it better than the m17x for more multithreaded workloads. but it was still limited to mid-tier ati video cards. which computer is superior? the m15x with a dual core extreme edition processor and an upgraded graphics card, or the m17 with a quad core extreme edition processor and lower end video cards? find out soon.
