All Brian Lara Games for PS2 Review
Here is a list of all Brian Lara Games for PS2:
1. Brian Lara International Cricket 2005
2. Brian Lara International Cricket 2007
The Brian Lara games great. What is nice about them is that they have easy to pick up controls. The gameplay itself is great, but there are plenty of glitches during a playthrough which breaks up the immersion. The controls and core gameplay are polished, and there a lot of tiny details in the controls, but when it comes to the visuals, the isn’t as polished due to the glitches. As game modes you get Internationals, full Test Matches and Classic, where the game becomes black and white like they would broadcast on Channel Five as “Greatest Sporting Moments~. Unfortunately, the company didn’t have enough money to fully lincence the players in 2005. Brian Lara has only an ICC licence. Non-ICC players have made up names, which is very immersion braking for any cricket fan. The games even had multiplayer for up to sixteen players.
Brian Lara 2007 brings some improvements. First off, it’s fully licenced, unlike the other game. Buuut, it’s fully licenced only in the Cricket World Cup mode, because if you enter another mode, the player names are made up. Also even if the graphics are better in 2007, the AI isn’t. It’s worse. You can score big points easier, because the AI is dumb. At least the controls are still easy to pick up and fun.
So if you’re going to choose between the two, choose 2005. It’s better overall.
