๐บ All Lairs of Romulus Walkthrough & Armor of Brutus - Assassin's Creed Brotherhood | 4K 60FPS PC
The Lairs of Romulus were secret locations scattered throughout Rome, most of which housed the Followers of Romulus. Each lair possessed a shrine dedicated to Romulus containing a variety of treasures.
Each of the six lairs also contained a key and a scroll, which each held portions of a letter written by Marcus Junius Brutus. Obtaining all six keys allowed the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze to unlock the armor and the corresponding dagger of Brutus, the coveted treasures of the Followers.
These lairs include Nero's Golden Palace (The Halls of Nero - Baths of Trajan), the Catacombs of Rome (Wolves Among the Dead - Pyramid of Cestius), the Colosseum (Thrown to the Wolves), the Lateran Palace (The Sixth Day), the Baths of Diocletian (Leader of the Pack - Cloaca Maxima) and St. Peter's Basilica (A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing).
Overview:
The Armor of Brutus was a virtually unbreakable set of armor once in the possession of the Roman Hidden One Marcus Junius Brutus. It was one of the strongest known armors of the Renaissance and was found alongside the Dagger of Brutus. The armor was stolen and treasured by the Followers of Romulus, who sealed it within a gate locked by six keys. In 1503, the Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze gathered the keys and claimed the armor and the dagger for himself.
The Dagger of Brutus was an heirloom short blade which belonged to the Roman Senator and Hidden One Marcus Junius Brutus, and was the same weapon Brutus used to assassinate Julius Caesar in the curia of the Theatre of Pompey. Following the assassination, the dagger was broken after an altercation where Brutus decided not to kill Marcus Antonius. It was returned to him reforged from Egyptian and Roman steel by Amunet, co-founder of the Hidden Ones, after he made the decision to flee to Crete from Rome. Following Brutus' suicide in 42 BCE after losing the Battle of Philippi during the last war of the Roman Republic, the dagger was sealed away in an underground chamber in Rome alongside his armor. In 1503 the Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore found the chamber, and claimed both the dagger and armor for his own.
The Followers of Romulus, also known as Secta Luporum (Sect of the Wolves), were adherents of Romulus, the mythical founder of Rome, whom they worshipped as a god.
According to legend, Romulus and his twin brother Remus were raised by a wolf, and as a result, they were said to be half wolf and half human. In tribute to this, the Followers' attire included a skinned wolf pelt.
