This is all my B-roll from UH Vs. UCR Doubleheader Game 1 (4/5/25)

The Rainbow Wāhine Softball team rebounded from Friday's loss to win game one of their doubleheader over the UC Riverside Highlanders, 4-3, on Saturday at Rainbow Wāhine Softball Stadium.

After a scoreless first two innings, Riverside got on the board first with a solo home run from Eti Lauti to center field. They would not score again until the sixth inning.

UH was unable to score when it was their turn in the third, but an inning later, they did. Izabella Martinez began the fourth with a double to right field. After swapping Martinez with Keely Kai, Milan Ah Yat belted an RBI single up the middle that was enough to bring Kai home for UH's first run of the game.

Next, after Ah Yat was replaced by pinch runner Maya Ichimura, Jamie McGaughey blasted a double home run to right center to put UH in the lead.

UH added another run in the fifth inning. With Carys Murakami at bat, Larissa Goshi was able to steal third base, and then she scored on a Riverside throwing error to make it 4-1 UH.

Things got dicey in the sixth when Riverside got two runs via Trendee Kahunahana off a Rebeca Cabezas sacrifice bunt, and a Kamryn Davis RBI single that brought in Lauti. Riverside, who had loaded the bases simultaneously, had their rally ruined on a Mariana Palazuelos pop up to third base. An empty seventh inning put the bow on the package for the first game.

Scored Runs:
00 - Keely Kai (Bot 4th: scored off Ah Yat RBI single)
18 - Jamie McGaughey (Bot 4th: Double Home Run)
5 - Maya Ichimura (Bot 4th: scored off J. McGaughey home run)
24 - Larissa Goshi (Bot 5th: scored off C. Murakami bunt attempt)
