0Nissan Revamps X-Trail Range with New e-POWER and e-4ORCE Electrified Models\n\nNissan has announced an electrified revamp of its popular X-Trail midsize SUV range for the 2023 model year. Headlining the updates is the addition of the innovative e-POWER hybrid system and advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel drive technology across the range.\n\nJoining the existing Ti and Ti-L models, Nissan will introduce the new X-Trail ST-L e-POWER grade in the second half of 2023. Priced from $49,490, the ST-L packs in a host of premium features making it compelling option for families.\n\nAt the heart of the new ST-L lies Nissan's unique e-POWER electrified powertrain. It consists of a high-output lithium-ion battery paired with a variable compression ratio 1.5L petrol engine, power generator, inverter and front electric motor producing 157kW.\n\nThe technology is innovative in that the petrol engine is used solely to charge the battery, acting as a ‘gasoline generator’. This allows the engine to consistently run in its optimal range, boosting efficiency. The electric motor draws power from the battery to drive the wheels.\n\nThis series-parallel hybrid system delivers a smooth, seamless power delivery free of transmission shifts. Nissan claims increased fuel efficiency, especially in urban driving. The regenerative braking system further maximizes energy regeneration.\n\nNow, Nissan takes things to the next level by combining e-POWER with its advanced e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system. Drawing from its expertise in EVs, e-4ORCE utilizes dual electric motors to deliver instant torque to all four wheels.\n\nThe motors precisely manage power distribution between the front and rear axles, up to 50:50. This dynamic control results in greatly enhanced traction and stability on all surfaces. e-4ORCE is tuned specifically to match the ultra-responsive characteristics of e-POWER.\n\nVisually, the new X-Trail ST-L e-POWER sports a bold look thanks to black finishes on the V-Motion grille, privacy glass and 18-inch alloys. LED lighting features prominently front and rear along with an acoustic vehicle alerting system.\n\nInside, passengers are treated to premium appointments like leather accents, 8-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats. The cabin feels airy thanks to the panoramic sunroof.\n\nPassengers stay comfortably climate controlled thanks to dual-zone automatic air conditioning. The 40:20:40 split fold rear seats enable flexible cargo capacity.\n\nCutting edge tech abounds inside the ST-L. The 8-inch touchscreen runs the latest Nissan Connect infotainment with wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. A 12-speaker Bose audio system provides exceptional sound.\n\nThe ADAS safety suite is comprehensive, consisting of features like predictive forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure prevention and rear automatic braking.\n\nMoving up to the Ti and Ti-L grades at $54,190 and $57,190 respectively adds more luxury appointments like leather trimmed seats, heated steering wheel and 10-speaker Bose audio.
