I plan this to be a series that crosses all of Super Metroid hacks and brings out the very best and impressive parts of the hacks that really, really stand out as special in some way. I hope to explore them a little further and in depth, and hopefully raise awareness of just how rad they really are.

Episode #2: This time I take a journey to Redesign, the hack that got most people, including myself, into the realm of Super Metroid hacks and hacking. The heat run involved requires speed, memory, accuracy, and restarting from the last save multiple times. It took me a few times to record this segment in one go, and even then I barely made it. (01 energy FTW!) The goal is to grab Ice Beam and make it back. Alive. Easier said than done. The whole time your energy is being sapped by the force known as heat! This segment is really well designed despite how difficult it can prove to be, and is actually a pretty fun and exciting sequence... As long as you don't die 30 times first...
