All-Pro Football 2K8 (PS3) | CPU vs. CPU #1
Visual Concepts and 2K Sports tried their hands at one last American football video game in 2007, this one focuses on professional football legends like John Elway, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman, and Dan Marino to name a few out of the 240 legends in All-Pro Football 2K8. All-Pro Football 2K8 is the first football game to be published by 2K since EA Sports purchased exclusive licenses to the intellectual properties of the NFL and NFLPA. Due to the exclusivity deal the NFL has with EA only covering team licenses, 2K contracted the individual rights to over 240 retired NFL players to appear in the game.
APF 2K8 features a fictional league called the "All-Pro League" or 'APL'. The APL consists of 24 teams that are grouped into six divisions of four teams each. The league runs a sixteen-game schedule and holds a championship game at the end of the playoffs, similar to the NFL. These 24 teams do have some references to films, tv shows, cars, comics, American history, Native American tradition, past and present sports teams from the NFL, XFL, USFL, college football, etc..
The teams consist of: Arizona Scorpions, Atlanta Wasps, Boston Minutemen, Carolina Cobras, Chicago Beasts, Dallas Gunslingers, Denver Cougars, Detroit Firebirds, Los Angeles Legends, Las Vegas Rollers, Miami Cyclones, Milwaukee Indians, Minneapolis Werewolves, New Jersey Assassins, New York Knights, Ohio Red Dogs, Philadelphia Americans, Pittsburgh Iron Men, San Francisco Sharks, Seattle Sailors, St. Louis Rhinos, Tampa Bay Top Guns, Texas Rustlers, and Washington Federals.
There is a halftime and post-game report which are done by the fictional commentators of "Dan Stevens" and "Peter O'Keefe" voiced by Terry McGovern and Jay Styne who also return from ESPN NFL 2K5 for play-by-play and color commentary.
We are going to showcase 2K's last pro football video game with a full CPU vs. CPU match between the St. Louis Rhinos and the Las Vegas Rollers.
Commentators: Dan Stevens (voiced by Terry McGovern), Peter O'Keefe (voiced by Jay Styne).
The gameplay was recorded with a 1080p 30fps capture card.
